On Saturday, October 27, O’Connor held a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) reunion for the patients and families who graduated from the O’Connor Hospital NICU. Eileen Cole and NICU nurses, organized a fun Halloween themed event for over 100 families to visit with nurses and physicians who had helped them during their stay at O’Connor.

Patients ranging from three weeks to ten years old participated in many fun activities including, a photo booth, trick-or-treat door, bean bag toss, face painting and art stations. There were also fun treats and snacks, balloon animals and a pumpkin patch where each patient could pick out a small pumpkin to take home.

The room was filled with smiles and it was a great day for nurses and families to be reunited and celebrate how far these patients have come. This NICU reunion was noted as the biggest turnout O’Connor has had compared to previous years!
